I am a bit disenchanted with the cabbing, so have not been doing so much, but here are a few that I finished. Lapis-Tony wrapped in Gold before I could post! Chevron Amethyst Easter Egg Onyx- for my easter decorations! Purple Jade- I would swear this was burro creek, except it is very soft!! PA Petrified Green Log-this was something Jo found, it is really dark with little flecks of gold, pretty neat, but when cabbed looks nothing like the material it comes from. Dino Bone-From Rockrookie Amber

I second the dino bone as a favorite. The whole bunch looks good. I also like the lapis wire wrap. I've got some dino bone cabs coming soon, thanks to steve.

How can you be disenchanted with such a nice bone! Oops, I hope I didn't say anything wrong The dino bone is gorgeous, it's my favorite. The onyx egg is my second favorite in this batch and the Chevron amethyst - the third. Too bad the purple jade is soft, it's a beauty. Adrian

That sure is a nice blue in the lapis, and the gold sure sets it off.............so, how could you be disenchanted with something that beautiful? Woody

You've been doing great! What's the problem? If you haven't been happy with some of your work, then the solution is to practice, not slow down!

Amber, your shapes and shine are sweet! Tony, that wrap is really clean and accentuates the cab nicely. Really, really nice stuff.

Nice! I like that dino bone especially. Take a break if you need to. Sometimes I go for a while without cabbing and enjoy it much more when I come back to it.

Like I've said before I have no idea why you are upset with these cabs, you are doing a great job. Maybe I shouldn't show you my cabs any more, I know they are super impressive, NOT. lol Now get down in that basement and start working on the ones we started this weekend, your minions await your latest creation.

I think this is an excellent batch, Amber! The dino bone is my absolute favorite...just because it's dino bone and the shape is perfect! I think my 2nd favorite is the lapis. You know, maybe you should try some different materials for a bit. You're not working the easy stuff, that's for sure! That soft stuff is so much harder to deal with than a good hard agate.
LOL@ Adrian!

This is a really good batch, Amber. I know what you mean though-sometimes I too ADD to see a cab all the way through to the end! I finish one up , then look at it and don't like it. We just have to keep on keeping on!

I have to go with the lapis on this one - the bone is a close second... I love you freeforms - I find those hardest to do - I'm too structured cabbily - I have to let loose..
Great job

I second this opinion, you seem to have a magnet for hard materials. Not hard on the Mohs scale, but hard to work with. I wouldn't dare to cab a lot of materials that you are dealing with. Adrian

Hey, nothing wrong with a little break every now and then cause you know you wont stay away for long. The cabs are great and there's nothing straggly about them. That Amethyst and the Dino Bone are my favs but that lapis also has that deep deep blue that just draws a person in.
