Well here is the latest 8. HPD sent me several VERY nice slabs, and instead of posting my usual thank you pics, I thought I would post a finished cab instead! I really love the material he sent and really tried to do a good job! HPD makes us all aspire to higher levels!! So here is the first one I tried! Thank you so much HPD, not only for the slabs, but for all the great advice you continually give me, and being just a super nice PA bud!!! Occho Lace- I love this cab!!! Backlit- I am not sure how to get a good pic backlit, so suggestions welcome!! I hate taking the pics!! Graveyard Plume-this was a bonus slab from Maryann! I love this piece! Wyoming Lysite Agate-from Wyobrian, I never made a cab with a huge druzy pocket, so I wanted to try it. Laguna Lace-a preform from Stones that Rock 4 more preforms from Stones that Rock! Yellow Agate- I am wondering if this is Oregon polka dot agate? It has little white dots all through it??? Pet Wood-another crack, I hate cracks!!!! Red/Green jasper-this is much prettier in person, it looks like an impressionist painting! A slaughtered Crazy lace! This piece had so much going on, and I love the colors and patterns, but then the big crack showed itself, but I just couldn't stop cabbing it, I sort of felt bad for it! A little crazy and scarred like me Thanks for looking!! Amber

I really love the lace ones. To tell you the truth, I didn't even see the crack in the last one until the second time through when I read your captions. Those are awesome! Thanks for posting. Barb

Jcinpc- I use nova wheels through 14,000,as long as I take my time and work the wheels, I can get a pretty good shine. I have an endplate with tin oxide, it seems to work better on some stones versus others, I don't use it on pieces that are pity or cracked! Thanks! Amber

It's all drooling eye candy!. That Drusy cab is SWEEEEEET. but that cracked lace is gorgeouse also. Heck, just wrap it with the wire going down the crack. Oh, I forgot about you and wire NOT, ok, I'll wrap it for you with the wire going down the crack. ;D
You really went from lady in waiting to queen in the cabbing courts Amber, these are beauties.

OK, it is early yet...My first thought was what kind of material was occho and then I counted and there are 8... I'm confused. The only thing not confusing me is that they are all beautiful!!! I especially like your first lace and the yellow agate really turned out nice! It is great to see you back at it Amber! Fran

Fran: Sorry to confuse you so early in the morning!! Ocho Cabs--there are 8 cabs The first one is Occho lace-I thnk HPD collected that himself in OR or WA, he can fill us in. You know I always try to come up with a catchy title!!! To everyone else! ;D Thank you for all the kind words and encouragement, you have seen my struggles!!! I always enjoy reading which cabs you like the best! Amber

The Laguna and Crazy are my favorites. Great shapes to the patterns. Even with the crack that last one is a great look. Hope you have more of that material to work. T
