lol I think what-ever a person uses, it's gonna kill ya sooner or later - I use my trusty chemical gloves for everything and also add a jug of STP Oil treatment into my saws. One of my saws run diesel and the other hydraulic fluid. Seems to really help with the "mist". Also holding my breath till I'm  works great as well !! Heck think of the old timers - man those guys were tough SOB's using transformer oil off the power poles... Think of the toxins in that material.

I continue to be amazed at the things people are putting in their saws. The only safe choice is food grade mineral oil. I use this on my livestock, and they survive just fine. If you truly want to do this whole thing the right way, that would be to use a respirator when cutting and fan the mist. Cutting outside would also be the safest. Just think before you breathe. Why let the hobby that you enjoy now cause you respiratory (or other)problems later? Timothy

STE has food grade for $16.90 a gallon. Cheaper if you get 5 gal bucket. With my back I prefer to get 1 gallon.
The STE-70 is the lightest food grade mineral I have ever used. It is running in my 10" Lortone right now and working great.
Just google STE-70

I agree if your in a enclosed area wear a proper respirator. I'm lucky enough to have a covered area outside where the vapors can visit my neighbors ~ Their crackheads anyway so they love new chemicals LOL.
The saws don't really bother me too much - however my sanders are the killers.... I wear a organic filter full face respirator while dry sanding. Just think of the stuff inside the rocks were releasing as a fine white dust! The Thundereggs in specific I polish have Cobalt, Chromium, Nickel, Iron and who knows what else!
I agree with geodes4u -
On the other hand though - Why not let the thing we love most kill us off hehe j/k - Can't be any worse than the crap they call food these days - or should I call them food flavored chemicals! ;D
