Thanks Mike. I really liked this material. I have cut other Chysocolla that end up snapping or crumbling on me but this material is very solid. This was just a test piece I worked to see how it was going to act. As soon as I have time I will slab up the chunk of it I have.

I think this material is also Chrysocolla. Not so good as Christopher's but it's from the 10 cent a pound sale, and the stone was about half a pound to start with, so I think it's pretty good for a nickel rock. In the second photo, if you can see the stone in front with a flat face cut onto it, that's what we started with. My husband slabbed it up, and I kind of rushed these 5 cabs, because I wanted to see if it would polish. The tumbled stone is from a different piece, which started as a small tumble sized stone already, and which I "hand" tumbled on the cabbing wheels since I didn't have enough of the same quality to make a tumbler load. I might re-do the shaping on a couple of those but I was excited to see if the color came out.

You found yourself a pretty good deal there at ten cents a pound!! Nice looking cabs.
