I don't know if and how you can, GR. I usually put vids up on youtube, but this was so short I just used photobucket. Thanks. She's a good little traveler and always wakes up on the right side of the bed. Jo

Nice setup! Thanks for showing all the little subtleties of how you get it all to work.

John, Thanks for digging this "oldie but goodie" up, so those of us that missed it could watch in awe! Great rig and set-up, Jo. And what a lucky dog Angie is! Jean
PS - if you have a VCR in your rig, I'll send you a certain Lucille Ball movie I just happen to have!

LOL Jean, no VCR but I'll have to order one on DVD or stream it to my computer. So many people tel me it's the story of my RV life, I really should see that movie (The Long, Long Trailer) Good thing we're back home visiting. I'm able to go through stuff and unload some weight! Jo

If I have to be that organized I will never make it out of the driveway. I will need a trailer behind my trailer. Jim

Jo this thread reminds me of when I had my boat. Every conceivable space was utilized for storage.. The only thing I didn't have to contend with was breaking an axle because of to much weight LOL Stu

LOL, I know, I know. Jim, it can definitely hinder my ability to get stuff done.
Stu, This year I added a 7" tile saw and a faceting machine. Just unloaded some stuff at our storage unit to compensate, LOL.

Wow, thanks for the tour Jo! Trading "stuff" for mobility seems like a hard, but worthwhile, tradeoff!

The de-cluttering and divesting process really is a healthy process (albeit challenging). Digdug, we have the New England states, Alaska and Hawaii still left to visit to have visited all 50 states. Perhaps next summer...

What a neat video! Years ago we had an old Winnebago that we'd take to the Florida Keys to go snorkling with, and while that felt spacious, I can't imagine if that was ALL we could take. I think I've just proven that I'm a hoarder..

How cool! The man and I think about getting an RV, but not full timers, just for cycling and rockhounding~ you really have a great system there, Jo. Thanks for sharing!

How are you going to get your RV to Hawaii? LOL Good question... I guess that's why we haven't been there yet, LOL. Thanks guys. The challenges have been part of the adventure for sure.

Jo, very neat setup and what an awesome tour! I don't know that I could ever be that organized! Curious - you have satellite tv that comes with internet (via satellite)? I tried finding such a setup but the closest I got was direct tv. They use satellite for tv and DSL for internet, however - no land-line so can't do DSL. I'm basically at my wit's end with comcast cable and trying to find a satellite provider but have not been successful - I'd love to hear how you managed that? Also, you mentioned that you used to glue your toppers down but now just wet the masters (I think that's what you meant) and the toppers stay in place ?? Are you talking about the different colored/grit diamond sanding pads for the Ameritool when you say 'toppers'? I'd love to know more about this. I want to get more and was going to buy more masters (the hard plastic black discs) but they're expensive - esp in multiples - would be so nice to swap different discs on just a few masters, if that made sense ? is that what you're doing? Thanks and sorry for the interrogation, lol - very cool setup you have! Daisy said to tell Angie "Arf!" (means "Hi!")

Haha... Angie says "Arf" back to Daisy! No problem at all, Frank. When I was trying to figure out my topper system, I had several conversations with John at JS Gems who is a member here (JSGems). If you haven't met him yet, he and his wife are real swell people, and he gives us all a special RTH discount. I have a few metal diamond discs used for faceting that I stick with water. Then, I've left the rubber discs, which have a peel off adhesive backing unpeeled and just use them on top of the backing plate with a sponge pad stuck to . The center thumb screw holds the pads in place and even though they sometimes warp, as soon as they are rewetted they go flat. John also talks about a spray adhesive that can be used, and reused, but you will have to ask him which one that is. We have separate internet and sat TV. We tried to bundle the two but just couldn't find it. There is a Winegard satellite dome on the roof that automatically finds satellites wherever we are (as long as there are no trees above us). And then for internet, we use a company called Millenicom (millenicom.com) which gives us Verizon service with no contract and use a wireless router which turns our RV into our own hotspot. We also put an antenna on our roof and added a booster for when we're in the boonies. I looked around the internet just now and saw that Hughesnet is now combining internet and satellite tv, but I didn't look at the details. Here is a link: www.isatelliteinternet.com/digital-tv.html

I do have something called 'feathering disc adhesive - allows you to stick things on, pull them off, repeat - many times - good stuff but a PAIN to apply because you have to get it smooth and it dries super fast and starts balling up. It's the same consistency as rubber cement - just tackier. Anyway I use atop craft foam on a master for my leather wheel. Next time I buy leather, though, I think I want to find some long enough to stretch around the master a little and stitch it together underneath so it's nice and tight. I've read that works well - never tried it though. I do love leather for polishing, however - works like a dream. We have separate internet and sat TV. And of course it always works when comcast comes to check it out - ooh I do not like them...)
