First off I want to thank bobby1, frane and nates for ID'ing this for me. I never would have thought that this was amethyst sage…. But it is! Guess I learned what "Primo" grade is ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Picked up this material from a local rock/garage sale several months ago. It wasn't labeled but it was soooooo pretty! I finally got around to make some cabs of it. Below is the slab that my awesome RTH friends ID'd and the cabs that I was able to get out of it! Slab: ![](http://i671.photobucket.com/albums/vv74/kgniot0709/P1020769rth.jpg) Cabs from the above slab: Freeform: ![](http://i671.photobucket.com/albums/vv74/kgniot0709/P1030699rth.jpg) 1.00 (1.5") Circle: ![](http://i671.photobucket.com/albums/vv74/kgniot0709/P1030700rth.jpg) 30 x 22mm oval: ![](http://i671.photobucket.com/albums/vv74/kgniot0709/P1030704rth.jpg) !!! Thanks for taking some of your time to look at mine! ~Krystee

really nice , however I would have guessed that the brown/rust was something like a base granite decaying possibly carbonotite, Try a little acid on it and if bubbles it is carbonotite. If not please educate me. I am interested

That slab was high grade material. And you did justice to it with the gorgeous cabs you extracted from it.
