I've been moving for the last two weeks but had to take a small break to finish one of the many ob cabs I started not too long ago. This one is material from Jason (rockhound97058). He sent me his scraps from the awesome sphere he posted awhile ago. Neat stuff! I "think" it is a non-sheen version of Mexican Rainbow. At least it looks identical in coloring to one I bought a year or two ago, but mine was cut at a different angle and didn't have the cool banding! Btw I found out after several photographs that the only way I could get the color to pop on this material was to shoot it on black leather... I learn something new everyday! Thank you Jason!!! ~Krystee

That is some pretty killer material. I don't think I have ever seen any like that.

Outstanding! - Glad you were able to use those scaps I sent. Always glad material I cannot use allows someone else to have some fun! Is the next one going to be that single slab I sent you? hehe! Enclosed in a photo of a piece of obsidian I polished yesterday and placed for sale in my shop - It's a piece of David Creek Rainbow, however it has silver sheen with a faint green flash - reminds of the Northern Lights. Usually larger flat faced specimens give me fits trying to sand and polished, but I think I'm getting the hang of them. I have two tiny little sand marks - but the average eye would never see them.
