Getting a good job obsidian with sharp curves and edges is hard -- I didn't see any frosting -- congratulations. Nice, really nice.

They look wonderful and I like the blue swirly stuff. See... good things can happen after all that fretting. ;D Jo

Julie, Look great. I don't know how I missed your thread before. Is the broken snowflake cabs in this batch? If so it looks great and I do not see any cracks. I think yoour tumble is really an example of what this hobby is all about. Tumbling forever and then one day it is all done and you have something very special. Its kinda like christmas morning as a kid. Wonderful job, thanks for sharing Bill

Thank you very much all!
I do have one very BIG thank you to shout out with this batch and for all future obsidian batches ... Krystee (TNT) ... you gave me great guidance and input. You were patient with me as I am trying to learn a new/modified way of tumbling obsidian.
Thanks Jo!! You know me, I love to fret!
Thank you so much racevw!!!
Steve ... there is frosting one the edges of three of the small clear pieces of slag. Think it is the 10th picture down. Other than that no polish pocks or marks. I am really pleased about this.
Bill ... thank you so much! This batch in my opinion is the best one yet. My precious perfect snowflake cab that my neighbor accidentally dropped is in picture #13 (bottom right hand corner). I tumbled the two pieces as I tried twice to either vibe or rotary the super glued piece and it just fell apart. But the two triangular pieces came out nice. It will make for interesting wrap.
As always ... thanks everyone!

And one other thing that I have learned here at RTH ... Any cab I tumbled, no matter what the rock, I always use my Gryphon to bevel/round the edges.
That is why all the edges come out so nice.

Also, first and third pictures from the bottom, you will see a little slightly rounded/domed cab.
This beautiful little cab was sent to me by an RTHer and I tried three times just to smooth/bevel the bottom back edges and it chipped each time. So I left it alone and put it into the batch and now it is perfect again.

Nice job on a difficult rock to polish. I love the swirly glass. Those will make some nice wraps.
