Call it being in a funny mood now that we're back on home turf for a bit, but I got another question to make you think a little. If you were a rock, which one would you be and why?

At my age Jo, it'd be one of two things. Either an old rusty piece of iron oxide, or an old coprolite.
I think my age explains why. lol

I would be Malachite. I have had cancer and emotional issues the past several years and have used this stone. I would love to help others through this stone!!
Healing properties of Malachite -
Malachite has wonderful healing properties, and because of the high copper content of the stone it has a very steady pulsing electromagnetic energy field. This gemstone is told to absorb negative energy from the auric field cleansing it, thus balancing the wearer and protecting them from the effects negative energies.
Using this stone, one can counteract self-destructive romantic tendencies and help encourage true, pure love. Malachite is also good for enhancing emotional stability and balance in general. It can decrease one's tendency to radiation illness, asthma, arthritis, and tumors.

Ed - I would try picking you up but with my bad back I am not sure if I could. Couple of trips with my carry bag full and I am pretty much done.
As far as rocks goooo I think I would be any rock that can be chiseled into a tablet so people could read my story forever. One of these days I will have to post some pics of the stone tablet museum that I saw in Viet Nam a few years ago. I could not read them but I was in awe because of the age of the stories. I did not write it down so I do not remember how many thousands of years ago that they started carving them. Jim

I would have to be a geode, maybe from the Hauser Beds (since I've been there before), full of beautiful crystals. Why? Because I'm a little lumpy, crusty, and not perfectly shaped on the outside, but oh so bright and sparkly looking on the inside! (Tongue planted firmly in cheek...) Jean

I'd want to be a stone that told a story like either my Petoskey stone or a picture stone of some type. I think I'd like to be the Petoskey. There's a whole primodial colony happening in that stone...it's a conglomerate moment in time that is frozen forever...perfect in the struggle for life it captures with all of the different organisms it holds. That's a stone that tells me it's story. I'd want to be a stone like that!

A hunk of limestone and I'd be hanging out near the top of the tallest pyramid on giza. Ask me tomorrow and I'll be something completely different. I LOVE THEM ALL so much!!!!!

Jo, If I were a rock with me being the kind of guy that I am it would have to be a diamond. Totally indestructible, regardless of how hard any person tries to destroy me (guess its a USMC thing). Regardless of how much crap I come up against or how much mud is flung upon me I always keep on shining. Like a diamond! Most importantly, as the song says "Diamonds are a girls best friend". Well most girls that is. ;D

I would opt to be granite, the core of the northern Rockies.
