Update: I got my slab grabber I ordered from Tony today! Tony added a couple of extras too~~ THANK YOU!!!! Here's the newest toy plus: ...and the beautiful crystal specimen right at home on my new rock shed/workshop next to the giant slab, also from Tony from Burro Creek, and some jade that came from Nephrite. Actually, it's a potting shed, but the pots and soil totally got displaced by ROCKS. Rocks don't need to be watered....

Thank you Krystee and Paul!
Although today is much more frustrating trying to get the right angle on labradorite! I made 4 cuts before I found the right plane to cut, and then only could do one end cut and one slab!!!
Phew. Good thing I have the slab grabber, lol. I'll go at it again tomorrow...

You'll have to show my how you did the labradorite when we're up there (or post some photos so we can all see ). I've been curious about how you end up finding the right plane. The sheen obsidian isn't too hard once you know where to look although once in a while, I end up cutting along the wrong plane.

Yep, that's what I read trying to figure it out, but I don't think I understood it right. I don't think I learned anything, Paul, except trail and error!! Saw's all cleaned up for you, though, Paul. Yes, it's totally addicting!

Awesome!!! I'm so thrilled for you and you cut some real beauties, too.! One day, I might actually get a slab saw, but for now I live vicariously through y'all. Keep the pics coming!
