I went back out to Delaney's rim. and looked for that drainage with the abundance of snails.. I never did find any easy pickins. But did spend some time working a hill side and was able to gather up a few. I see there is some interest of this location so I kinda outlined my interpretation of the field.

I drove up Delaney Rim road and looked for the black all over the ground, the weekend before last. We got a lot, sorry you didn't get much.
Did you have a good time? Find anything else?

Oh yes. I always have a good time! I was mostly trying to find some Pet wood. Mel found some wood out that away that was encased in Stromatolites. So I have been on the hunt trying to get me a nice piece. I am finding small shards but the limb casts have eluded me. There is another sea floor fossil that may be a cousin to the stromatolites. I dont know what they are called? very small, and you need a 10X loupe to see them. Tiny little tube lookin things. I am finding these with the wood. I may have been looking for the wrong fossils?
