Yes. I use s piece of black jade as a backing. After the initial shaping on a 600 grit flat lap, all the small pieces are glued together using super glue and then a final round on the 600 grit to flatten the back. 330 epoxy is used to attach the inlay to the jade on the back. I have had s few pieces assembled only with CA come apart.
Native silver certainly isn't common. Cobalt, Ontario, Silver City, New Mexico & Creede Colorado are the only locations that come to mind right now. There are a few others.

That has to be one of the most beautiful intarsias I have seen! The colors and composition are 100% PERFECT together and I LOVE the shape!!! Please don't make us wait 10 months for the next one! Feeling dizzy now.........
Last year I got some beautiful Creed, CO purple Sowbelly agate from Dicky the Rockhunter that has native silver in it! Definitely not 10% in any of my pieces, but cool nonetheless!!!
