Thanks wampidy/ Jim. I would love to see some of your pink granite, maybe even purchase a little piece of it, slabbed up or that will fit on my little saw, I have a collection of several hundred cabs too.... I like to sell and trade them....lolol... But mostly, I just like to run my fingers through them. The stone in question is not mine... I had the pics, but did not keep any links.... Obviously, I was not anticipating the results I got here. So, without more work than I want to engage in right now, I do not have access to those photos. I would even be willing maybe trade a small Thomsonite for granite.... It is an exclusive Northshore Minnesota gemstone, and what I have is all small, but spectacular stuff!! The market is pretty stiff for the stuff, but I have a pretty good source, where I have been able to pick up supply at a price that i can live with. Here are some I have listed.... these are just a couple of them: www.etsy.com/shop/mnblarneystone/search?search_query=thomsonite&order=date_desc&view_type=list&ref=shop_search

The next time I go over the mountain to see my daughter or go to my VA doctor I will see if I can get some for you. I have not stopped to check it out but it is right along the highway where they cut through the granite. Some of those places have no place to park because the road is so narrow. If I can find a place to park where the hike is down hill both ways I will get some. I will book mark this thread so I can find you later. Jim

Thanks guys!! Both of you!! I would happily send a thomsonite to each of you. I don't have any pink granite in my collections. They are not big, but fun to look at, and see all the chatoyance in it. It is very subtle. My favorite zeolite. @geoff.... My shop is 20 miles door to door, and I am in the Twin Cities of Minnesota.... I make the trip regularly.... I understand the "Short drive" thing....
@wampidy, my hubby goes to the VA here in Minnesota. His is a nice 60/120rt mile drive every other month or so. The take pretty good care of him.
