Hmmm, I found it, looks like only one vender carries it, $30 a pound. Bummer on the price, I wanted 100 pounds of it. lol

Philip(rarerocksandgems) just had the rough stock for sale on his website. From his recent trip to claim. I am on the automated mailing list for his sniper sales and whatever else. He sent email out to people on list about having a thousand pounds and less than 8 hours(might of been less time like 4 hrs, cant remember, I know it wasnt long) orders were filled. Cool looking stuff. I seem to always miss his sniper sales. All the stuff goes pretty quick. Most witin minutes.

Wow! Geoff. That is fantastic material. I would rather just go out and buy it rather than having to bid. But at those prices, I'll probably not get to cab it any time soon.

Thanks everybody for your comments. It is expensive rough but worth it. I sold three cabs yesterday and those just about paid for the parcel.

The linda marie stuff was sold at a set price. No bidding. On his website you can get on his mailing list for when his material becomes available. Prices might seem high but he dont sell junk. All good stuff. By the looks of the pics he sent out of the rough stock, it looked like all quality material. Like the other member said you could make your money back easy off it. They all looked like you could just polish them up and they would of been great looking specimens. He went out for a month long out at the claim and stayed there digging. I think he only does one trip there a year. Hes at the Madras Oregon rock show this week and weekend selling material. I have a nice little specimen coming my way that I purchased from him. Pics coming soon as it arrives.

I may pay more but it is a whole lot easier for me.

there is absolutely no bidding. ever. no need to email for a fixed price. there are ONLY fixed prices. he may call them anti-sniper, but they are not auctions. sniping is eliminated by eliminating the auction. the sale goes up and it is a free for all. things sell quickly.
recently this material was offered in SFRB and MFRB. not even as part of a anti-sniper sale, but the rapid sellout was the same effect. I did not have $100 to drop on a 3lb SFRB, but I thought about it. The material looked solid. The Feather ridge material sold last year was not so solid, and I got a little burnt. Bought $100 of that and might only get a few cabs. Since I don;t sell cabs, I eat such misadventures.

Well, he's got it on hold, but it's not sold out yet, he's still sorting pieces I guess: www.rarerocksandgems.com/webfolders/RocksFossilsMeteo/rough/requests/LindaMarieAgate/master/LindaMarieMainPage.htmI just got a big cab sized piece from a friend who got a REALLY crazy nice batch. It's a bit like pietersite without the shiny. The section he got was all folded up inside, with translucent agate spaces, not the straight top plumes and bottom plumes, but it's really beautiful!! There are a few teeny vuggy spots, so worth doing hxtal just to be safe while cutting, given how pricey it is: This piece is 1/4" thick (or a bit thicker)... hope I can do it justice as a cab. Fishenman's cabs are just stunning, and I love the symmetry of the pattern he got. I figure you guys would like to see a rough/preform too.

Hi guys, Haven't participated on the forum as much as I would like but my time is limited...I don't even have time to go fishing anymore much less do the social networking. I just happen to hear that there was a posting on the RTH site and decided to give it a look. I just got back from the Madras show were I was set up as a dealer. It was my first show ever, mainly because I sell exclusively on my web site and just go to the shows to buy. I took some Linda Marie rough to the show along with Morrisonite specimens and other stuff. The Linda Marie did very well indeed and of course the Morrisonite too. I know $30 per pound is a little high for some and I'm sorry. However, the cost of mining just to break even is challenging, especially in the Spring when the diesel prices are at their highest. Generally the rough price will decrease to $20 per pound once I've cover my costs. But, as one of you mentioned I sell out pretty quick once I have it offered. You will see some for sale on Ebay soon I'm sure. I can't control what people put up for sale, so deal with someone you know and always ask for a dry pic if they don't have one already. If anyone has any questions just let me know. I will be digging in Sept/Oct at the Linda Marie and some other new plume claims I haven't announced yet. Philip- Here's a new Morrisonite specimen I just finished polishing. Morrisonite
