It gets to be a broken record. This guy is just so smart. I think Billy is right, he is the Messiah!
Probably the only President since Roosevelt to actually follow the Constitution and not go to war on his own.
Taking a serious breach of Human etiquette by the Syrians and finding a solution without risking the lives of US soldiers.
Amen

Let's see. . . The Sec. of State makes a gaff which his own spokespeople dismiss as a rhetorical statement. The Russians seized the chance to stop Obama cold, and Putin claimed the mantle of leadership in the Middle-East. He (Putin) who arms Syria will now be the one who oversees the disposition of the WMDs.
You may be right Charlie, it's an Immaculate conception of a foreign policy.

*L* Charlie, I must commend you. Your supply of pro Obama bull poop is truly endless *L*. You are truly a broken record. It must be fun to ignore reality and live in such a world of fantasy. I feel kind of bad. I only get to ride horses and you get to ride unicorns *L*..Mel

Oh Charlie... that maneuvering of Putin into agreeing to distroying his own ally's weapon stash is so freaking classic Reagan, I am in awe. This is Cold War mastery, and Putin is still scrambling to save face.
They say Obama's a great chessplayer... but Putin's been around for decades, and was the head of the old KGB... holy crap, to be about to manipulate the master manipulator is genius beyond belief. I am now wondering if we have EVER had a President this smart.

I guess that is the difference between have experience and being a community organizer.
The only thing Barry is good at is WH parties and wasting taxpayer money.

Billy Billy Billy, it's beginner's 'luck'. LMAO! You said it "BEGINNER'S LUCK" and what would the outcome been if the luck had gone the other way. Barry was playing with fire and he knew it. Is he that stupid to thing Russia would take a chance at losing its only "warm water military port" to the rebels? Not a chance. I think Barry should handover his good will gestured noble peace prize to Putin.

A real president does not rely on "luck".

The luck was a joke based on Mel calling it luck. Doing what he did is basically the same thing most US Presidents have attempted...with only a few accomplishing it. Reagan backing the USSR down on the Cold War arms race, leading to the complete breakup of the USSR into multiple nations. JFK backing the Soviets down at the Cuban Missile Crisis. Dealing with the Russians has always required a vast amount of planning and psychology. It's not luck to have accomplished it again given our history with them. Obama's got a Foreign Policy team and group of advisors who have studied the Soviets for decades. No President makes calls like this alone.
Nor would I expect you to understand the significance or astonishing, shocking even, success of his accomplishment. Better get back to your silly memes. As someone said, you can't fix stupid.

Only in the USA can doing absolutely nothing, and looking to the world (and anyone else actually paying attention) like Putin's patsy can be described as:
Castrati, now the new illuminati.
The testicle-free wonder of the world.
A living, standing, speaking spineless jelly-fish of an ego has made a shocking accomplishment by doing literally nothing.
Nothing has been accomplished. Theater of compliance will now follow. Syria will look as though they are giving up their weapons. Putin looks like a genius. He backs Buck into a corner squeezes his empty scrotum and does the victory celebration. In soccer the referee would award Putin a caution for "excessive celebration". Putin gets the win and now has advanced to the world cup. He gets to play in the big leagues. The US? We look like the weak nation we have become under Ofama.

*LOL* Wow, no wonder Charlie and Helen so revere Obama. They're peas in the same delusional pod.
J. H.Peak made my favorite and most accurate Obama commentary of the week so far. Regarding his stand on Syria: " Obama demonstrates the ability to orate incessantly without remembering the position he last took"
Helen and Charlie demonstrate the ability to twist most every stupid thing Obama says into pure genius and ignore reality. And what they can't twist to fit their glowing image of their savior, they simply choose to forget or ignore *L*.....Mel

Ignores reality:)? LOL!
Assad, Syria's ruler, is Putin's ally in the Middle East. He is besieged by his own countrymen, but Putin is throwing weapons and missiles at him to help him win.
Putin just agreed to force Assad to NOT ONLY allow UN inspectors to look at all their weapons (info the rebels would love to have), they have agreed to force them to DESTROY them when found.
Isreal is the US's ally. NOT ONLY does Isreal have nukes, Isreal has WMD openly. Putin winning is when Isreal is forced to allow UN inspectors on Israeli military bases, and agree to DESTROY part of their armaments. I see no one whining about Israel destroying their WMD or being subject to UN inspection. Do you? What did Putin win again?
The humiliation of forcing your own ally... one you obviously can't protect, to DESTROY their weapons, WHILE you are sending them weapons, WHILE they are at war? Did you just say Putin won and Obama lost?
LOL!

WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO: Give to President Putin the Nobel Peace Prize Mr. Obama was given in 2009. Where as Mr. Obama made a sincere commitment to starting a war with Syria, engaging our military in unwanted conflict, and doing so without the support of his people we resolve that Mr. Obama should deliver the Nobel Peace prize given to him in 2009 to a man of Peace, the President of Russia, Mr. Putin. Where as Mr. Putin enabled the United States to avoid an unwanted and unwarranted military action he has brought us to the "brink" of peace. Created: Sep 11, 2013 Issues: Defense, Foreign Policy, Homeland Security and Disaster Relief petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/give-president-putin-nobel-peace-prize-mr-obama-was-given-2009/d8k9BXJT

Just sayin. U.S. officials gave the impression that they believed the offer was a political ploy on Putin's part to avert military action. Later, though, some Obama aides said the idea of Assad surrendering his chemical stockpile had been discussed by Obama and Putin both at their talks at the G20 in Mexico last year and again in their private chat in St. Petersburg. news.yahoo.com/special-report-syria-chemical-crime-complex-reaction-090544255.htmlJim

Jim: I'm sure some Obama aides "said" Obama and Putin discussed that stuff. Of course Obama aides would obviously say anything to try to give their boss a cover story too. We really do not know what was said do we? Obama's gang have a nasty habit, after all, of changing their narrative after the fact to cover their obvious and embarrassing mistakes and changes in position on issues.
Helen: I've heard both Putin and Assad are attaching a lot of conditions to this agreement you're so happy with, conditions that both maintain Assad's power and give lots of stall time to Syria. You seem somewhat naive to me, or maybe I'm just cynical, but I really don't think, two guys in the same alliance are going to do anything but play games with us. Obviously Obama, congress, and the American people already sent the signal that we'd like to just sit this one out. Which is OK by me but nothing to give the Prez special credit for. He was not going to get approval from congress or the people so, all he did was get lucky and get himself out of a bind by doing nothing except making a minor threat of a tiny little attack...Mel

Assad is a murderer and the other side contains elements of Al Qaeda. When the civil war began, it wasn't like this, but more and more Al Qaeda hopped onto the Rebel side as it went on. To the point where we really don't want them to win anymore. Whatever we think of Assad, can we hand a nation to terrorist elements? No one knows what was said or implied behind closed doors, but fact is, Putin is sound and fury, but so long as he agrees to weapons inspections and destruction, we are a step closer to security in the middle east. And he has. Put the shoe on the other foot, under what conditions would the US allow another nation to force Isreal to give up WMD? None. Not one. We WOULD fight a war should someone try that. There was a chance that Putin would go to war if we forced his ally to give up those weapons. There is no chance we would not go to war over Isreal being asked the same thing. We don't have a dog in this fight anymore. Putin's willing to weaken Assad is both a moral and physical victory for us. And the miracle is that it cost us nothing. Sure it will drag on. The war is dragging on. But what do you think of the odds of Assad firing another chemical attack at anyone might be? We want him to have no ability to use chemical weapons. Did Obama accomplish this?
