Yes, some of the CO material is intense blue-green. There is a lot of variation between the several locales, though. Some of the Amelia CH, VA had a similar intense blue, but AFAIK, most of that dried up many decades ago. The only amazonite I have been able to locate from there has all been lighter aqua shades, sometimes with the albite streaks. It is too bad that they didn't come labeled, but from wherever, it will make great gems with that degree of saturation. I have a small amount of the old stock blue-green Amazonite out of the Morefield Mine in VA and it almost looks like turquoise with white webbing. I believe the Morefield Mine in Virginia is producing again though. I haven't seen any of the newer amazonite material in person but in the photos on this website www.toteshows.com/morefield.html some of it appears to have good color. Larry C. Larry! That's EXACTLY what I thought.... turquoise with white webbing!!! I'm going to go take a picture of it with a Nacozari turquoise cab on top of it!
