In the second photo there is on the right bottom looks a little yellow and white. Is that chert as well ? I find some big pieces in Lake Ontario.

Really nice pebbles. I'll be looking more closely for stones as I wade my local rivers from now on. Maybe do an all Missouri batch. I haven't tumbled anything yet but should have it going in a week. I've been soaking up all the information I can and there is a lot here.

These photos show anyone who wants to learn what well-tumbled stones should look like. Note the complete lack of cracks, divets, or any shapes that fail to please aesthetically. It takes patience ... and a certain amount of ruthlessness ... to attain a final product such as these.
