I agree with Larry that it looks like rose quartz. Your last photo with the banding reminds me of the South Dakota rose quartz. The deepest blue areas are approaching aquamarine in colour.
Beautiful stuff! Got it cabbed yet? How about now? Waiting! Remember, you can rest ... later!
Darryl.

And here's some Rose Quartz that Christopher gave me a couple years ago from a claim outcrop near Lake Isabella, CA. And if Christopher found a new type of rock, he gets to name it. We'll let him do that while he's tied up and being tortured by us on our next trip!

It is a beautiful blue, similar to Larimar, as soneone else said. Looking forward to the cabs.

Cool stuff. How intense is the color when slabbed?

John, it seems to stay about the same when slabbed. The first two photos are the faced rough, the rest are slabs (1/4" ish).

There's a guy and his son that sell this under the name "Blue Ice Agate" on ebay. They are from Utah and each has his own store on ebay. As far as I know, they are the ones who dig this stone. They are also the ones who found/dug Flowering Tube Onyx. One is "Utah's Goldfever Dealer" and the other is "Rock-n-Utah".
That said, I think I've seen something like it from Canada, too. Rick

Yeah, I've seen both of those. There is also a similar colored rock from China. This is different stuff. Christopher dug it, somewhere locally.
Edited to ad: At least, that's what I understood from what he told me.

The coloration of this material is very similar to the B.C. material but the inclusions are different. This material is coming out of Utah near Gold Hill. This is a new deposit. I have had a spectral analysis done by Donald Kasper that show in the initial findings that this is blue moganite. The blue coloration is very rare and preliminary testing show that it is around a 6+ in hardness. I will be leaving Quartzsite in a day or two and will share some photos of cab then or you can browse around my facebook albums to see a few that have since found new homes. We have a few tubs of slabs and several hundred pounds of rough available at the Pow Wow space #275. I had a huge boulder of this material setting out in the hot Bakersfield sun all summer long and I have seen no sign of fading.

Here is something read about moganite: "One kind of twinning in quartz, a mirror reflection known as Brazil twinning, can occur at the unit-cell level to form moganite. Agate & jaspers contain various amounts of moganite" mostly
