Tommy - You can "hijack" my thread anytime with a story like THAT. And pictures of the event to go with it?! Very cool, my friend. The whole Mt. Shasta area is so beautiful. Been a long time since I've visited the area, but maybe I should plan on a fishing/seahawk watching/rockhounding trip down there this summer! Thanks - yeah it was an amazing experience. Luckily we had been watching him for a while before the incident - about the time we got the boat turned around we spotted him coming and my brother had time to get his camera up and snapped a series of photos. Lots of good spots to rockhound up there - I usually just go up to my brother's house in Redding to fish or rockhound in his backyard and muck up his big saw with stuff I can't cut at home heehee.

+1 to Tommy's hi-jack. That was awesome bro'. Thanks for sharing. I do not believe I have ever seen an Osprey in person. Bald eagles are like seagulls up there, but Osprey osprey is a step above. washingtonrocks - if you do Northern Cali to visit/fish/hound/seahawk watch; I am in. Let's make it happen. Tommy's wife great to hang out with and her husband is pretty good too! Tommy you are a very fortunate soul.
