I was just in plush a few weeks ago as well! We hit the public site for about an hour and did pretty well (not as well as you though!)

The crystals look pre-tumbled. Are these screened from a river bed where they have been flow tumbled? Guess I can Google it.

Darryl. thanks!! they're not river tumbled....the middle pic is what i tumbled...they're pretty soft so its real easy to get them nice and polished Joe

Wow, those are beautiful! I know what you mean about the cool stuff "disappearing" to family members, lol. I'm as bad as Fossilman about forgetting things. I know someone (from somewhere?) that told me she and her husband went to Oregon to mine sunstones at one of the pay sites. They liked the area (and sunstones!) so much, that they actually moved there and got their own mine. Now I remember, it was someone on a photo forum I used to have time for. (Sound of gears grinding...)
