Was waiting to be 100% sure I was going to make it before saying what I'm bringing to the potluck. Letter B means a dessert. Think I'll bring lemon bars (made from homegrown lemons!) like I did a couple years back. Diane drocknut liked them, so they must be okay.

Yeah but B is close to A which means you need to bring some of those world class avocados

Diane, Big Red will there for a Brenda trip. I should be there about the 21st. I still laugh remembering the giggles during the last Brenda trip. Woody Diane, Woody, I think there will be an interest in a trip to Brenda again. Shall we schedule a day? How about Friday the 23rd, the day before the BBQ? Still too far away to know what the weather is going to do, but that's just how it goes. If we can come up with other places to go, we can flesh out the schedule for the rest of the week. And keep in mind the Quartzsite rock club holds their own field trips during the PowWow, Wednesday through Sunday. Open to non- members for $2 each person, each field trip. Here's a link to their field trip scedule for 2015: www.qiaarizona.org/Powwow-Field-Trip.html

Sounds like a plan on both accounts Jean. I'll give you a call Friday night because I don't know yet what time on Saturday I'm moving although probably not until afternoon. Friday before the bbq in Brenda sounds good. I asked around a little but no luck yet in finding other places to go. I want to go on the porcelin jasper club trip on Saturday the 24th but the other trips don't really interest me right now. And might I add, yummm on the lemon bars and the avocados. You got me salivating already.

Latest weatherunderground 10 day forecast for Quartzsite www.wunderground.com/weather-forecast/85346?MR=1shows no rain for all of next week. Although there is a trough of low pressure expected to come through Tuesday and Wednesday, making it partly cloudy and a little (10 mph) windy. Highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s. Perfect!

For my dessert, I'll probably have to find a supermarket (or maybe a bakery) and get something premade. Bad part about staying in a motel!

Don't know about Blythe but there is a good bakery in Quartzsite on the main drag and they make good pies. I may have to go there again a research their cakes...lol.

I guess I should come to these boards once in a while also. I've had this account for almost as long as I've had my account at "the other site". I just got active over there first and its hard to maintain activity at two places. But the BBQ was fantastic. It was great to see some old friends and make some new ones. Lots of good folks from this site that I didn't know before last night. After Shotgunner discussed spheres and home depot with me for 30 minutes I finally had to concede that he was, in fact, a charming salesman. LOL
I hope some of you have pictures to share, I took a total of zero photos yesterday (with the exception of a cellphone pic of Tonys epic morrisonite slab). I found it funny that I saw myself in the background of some photos from last years BBQ also when searching through the site this morning. Anyway, it was a great party last night. Thanks again to Tony and all of you who made it fun.
EDIT- I thought I had at least made one post here in the past...sheesh. I better go over to introductions and say HI!

It was a great party. Thanks to Tony and Chris for hosting it. Good food, good conversation, and good friends. I didn't take any pictures either, too busy talking, go figure...lol.
