Greetings All, Just thought I'd revive this thread and put in links to all of the overseas bulk distributers I know of. If anyone else knows of companies that deal in lapidary rough by the ton please post a link. Oh I'm not ready to get more quite yet but darn if some of those rocks from brazil don't look really nice WilliamC www.mineralgallery.co.za South Africa www.indiarockhounder.com India www.vrstones.com.br Brazil

Are you wanting to sell/trade?
Or do we need to check e-bay?

Greetings All,
Hello Tellfamily, I'm interested in trading and selling but I've been a bit lazy and I don't yet have any pictures of the rough. I'll try to get some pictures taken this weekend and posted here so folks will know what I've got. For now if you want to go to the mineralgallery.co.za website, to the bulk rough, I've got their butterjade, carnelian, koi jasper, autumn jasper, verdite, and leopardstone. The pieces I have are too big to tumble, they'd need to be cut and or busted up first.
And shorty, believe it or not shipping by sea freight is not terribly expensive, I for two tons from South Africa it was less than $500, I paid nearly as much to rent a U-haul to get it from the Warehouse to my house. That $200 for 10 pounds is either an overnight Air rate or a rip-off.
Someday I really would like to buy another bulk purchase, this time probably from the vrstones company in brazil, they just have some absolutely beautiful blue and green aventurine, the crystallized wine quartz, the sodalite and amazonite, even some of the softer stones like the apatite and calcite. Someday.
