mr.mohs, those will be fascinating together, each has so much going on. Don't forget to show us the finished product. Gemfeller, outstanding Greens! They all look pretty green to me, but I do know what you mean about the camera making things look different. It picks things up that the eye doesn't perceive. Glenn, what is napper? I don't think I ever heard that term before.

Delicious greens. Nice colours and super shapes. I like green as such, except in Jades. The green jade that I like is way out of my pocket as they are asking for crazy prices. So, gotta do with other material. I Like the mosses Getting exited with Tiger-eye (preferably the variegated kind) And getting nuts for some nice Fire Agate

WOW, I don't know why I didn't make the connection on that napper/knapper thing. I was focusing on names of rocks! LOL. thanks arrowheaddave and lparker . jakesrocks and quartz, those are a green lover's green. Now I have to go look up atacamite. new one on me! (cute truck setup, quartz) mr.mohs another beautiful rockin' heart! That is quite translucent. Is it jade? Beautiful piece! kk no loss to the art world that you aren't using jade, your treatment of the stones you have shown us are art of top quality and the pleasure we get from viewing them not less because they are not jade, the rocks you have chosen are just right for the way you have presented them. I always look forward to seeing your creations, each one a treasure. Keep the green coming! St Patricks day is almost here.

Here's my green rock - don't know what it is. If you think it's high grade jade, make a reasonable offer Lee #1

I ran across this Moldavite (tektite) yesterday and decided to post it because Snowmom was asking for Moldavite images. It's not exactly green -- maybe gang-green? Or Heineken green? -- but it still falls into the green range. Happy St. Paddy's day eveyrone! I'll be having cataract surgery in the a.m. and maybe I'll be able to see greens better afterward.

"gang-grene" ROFL, gemfeller! Happy St. Patrick's Day! Good luck with your cataract surgery. Please don't move your eyes and try to look at the colors.

This is what believe to be ricolite. A mineral of the serpentine group. If it is ricolite - its pure and I have only this little chunk I just quickly polished that side to see how the polish goes. I'm not sure if ever cab it ...
