Closer end view Ed. Motor had capacitor attached. Big tumbler today. 15 +18 + 24 + 24 pound barrels. Note 6 and 8 inch running against each other.

This one has been running full time 3 years in January. Bet it was not turned off but 5-6 days.

Thanks for the additional views, Jim. They help. Mine will (hopefully) end up looking similar to your single shaft-pair wooden one. I've had a sudden change in my business and the tumbler project might get delayed a bit, but it'll get done.
The double roller tumbler...what size motor have you got running that one?...it's a monster!!!

Jim, do you use all Sch40 fittings or the DWV ones? What I saw on Amazon for sch40 was $$$ and Lowes only shows the ones rated DMV (online). So far in the Lowes and Home Depots in Montgomery I haven't seen any 6" fittings to speak of. I think I'll have to go to a commercial plumbing supply store to get the sch40 stuff.
