Here's some of the other stuff. A little dalmation, unakite, granite, chert, and some unknowns ... These came out of the creek just down the road from here ... Had some obsidian mixed in too. Think it came out alright. Picture Jasper I bought from our friends at the Rockshed. Shaped fast and had few fractures, pits and the like. Little waste although some were a bit drab in color. Some, but not all, pieces developed "micro pits" in the polish. Overall I think a nice tumble ... Lets pull a few out of the pile ... Desert Jasper also from the Rockshed. Also quick to shape with little waste. Some of these rocks were blackish and drab to start. The further down they ground the more color came out. Pretty cool. They took a fine shine with no issues in polish ... Lets pull some of these out too ... Thanks for looking. Keep on rollin' them stones.

Wow, that desert jasper is really nice. Don't know exactly what "desert jasper" is and I would be interested to know where it comes from.

Well done, nice mix of shiny rocks. I've tumbled that rock shed desert jasper. One of my favorites so far.

Desert jasper is great! How about a pic of the granite. I have seen several folks on here comment it's a difficult tumble?

That granite looks like the stuff I find. Where did you collect it?

That granite looks like the stuff I find. Where did you collect it? DeKalb County Illinois. From SanAuk Creek. Lots of it along there. Some is a purple-ish color but that stuff doesn't tumble well.

Tkvancil are you finding any Geodes in your area or are you too far north?

The desert jasper is really nice but the granite is also superb for a material that undercuts. Did you polish in a vibe and for how long?
