jamesp, I'll take that as a compliment. Thanks! I'm having fun with it all. Maybe you have been doing this a long time. If not you moved right into it.

Been at photography for 15 years, tumbling since Christmas. I looked back and saw that I posted my first batch on Feb 18th. I think I'm up to number 7 now, hardly a veteran. I just try to learn quickly from mistakes, mine and others'. Kept eliminating mistakes and soon had some decent success. All the fixes are found here on these threads.
Was once a children's portrait photographer, now into rock tumbling and my wife still claims I have no patience.

7 batches is a lot of experience but in a short time. Tumbles show you know what you are doing. Read this forum and it won't take long to figure out a myriad of ways to get the job done. Starting out with good rocks and pre-shaping is no fail way. If you pre-shape and use a vibe it cuts the whole cycle way shorter. more batches in less time, faster learning curve.
Now the photos, noticed a step above on them. Not an average mo photographer. No shadows, perfect balance, depth. Either you were lucky or you knew what you were doing. guessing rocks are easier than kids x100
