People who use cannabis daily have a far different high than the few times you and I got high Mel.
Tela, I know folks I won't drive with when they are sober!
The biggest pot heads as a community are construction workers. The hard labor makes for many achy parts. Weed ok kills the aches and they can still get the work done. Bricklayers, roofers, framers..... All have many potheads in their ranks. If they were impaired they couldn't keep their jobs. Performance reviews and all...
My experience is for hundreds of individuals. Not a few.

It takes 30 or more days to leave the system. Where as coke or meth is gone in 24 to 48 hours. Pot is the easiest drug to catch and the safety people love catching the smokers so they can puff out their chests at the company meeting and say. I caught and fired blank number of drug users today. So the pot smokers are out of a job and the meth heads are employed. Remember that the next time you are on a work site that tests!

My experience is for hundreds of individuals. Not a few. That bit about construction workers is just down right ridiculous. My ex husband was a pot head and an alcoholic AND a construction worker. I have known so many construction worker pot heads that I can't even count them all. They don't get high for aches and pains, they get high to get high. It's a culture. It has NOTHING to do with pain. They don't get drug tested, but if they get hurt on the job, they do. They know it, too. The smart ones don't do it at work. I know of companies and crews that are well known to be drug free. Just try getting high on the job there. This area was booming back when I was married to him and before the immigrants came in. It was hard to keep decent workers. Companies knew that and were lax about drug policies. I assure you, those guys are getting high to get high. Every kid I ever knew who wanted some weed, would ask the local construction guy. I have said before, I grew up on the wrong side of the tracks and stayed there a long time. I have a lot of first hand experience with all kinds of drugs and people. I never let my ex drive my kids and I never drove with him, either. (It was a short marriage. One of those rebound things. But, to this day, I love the guy to pieces. Despite his short falls. He was a good guy.) I won't drive with lots of people, stoned or straight, either, but that doesn't change anything I said.
