I fear that if I did not take care of her the Saint she was, I was going to have to answer to a much higher power. And those that acted cruelly towards her will have to live w/themselves. Amazes me to see the contentment in those that were kind to her, and the exact opposite of those that were not. Her caretakers in the care unit that she lived at were the best family I ever had. Thanks Erich. Let their anguish be their anguish and your peace be your peace, James. You know the path that you have walked and the path that you will continue on. Your mother sounds like quiet the woman that has been a blessing to all that encountered her, pity those who missed out on that blessing 'cause our life path is one way...we can't go back and walk it anew. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours, James. I'm just over here in 'Bama if you need to sit on a gravel bar or something... Ed Thanks Ed. You have it accurate. Wealth and richness comes in many forms. Veiled at times. She about wore me out over the past years. I'd gladly do it all over again. Classic Magnolia, know what I mean ?

Con an I went through similar anguish with his mom passing a few years ago. Man do I miss that awesome woman!!! He was very close to her as was I in the short few years I was lucky enough to have her in my life. Family members seem to be quick to offer help around outsiders but behind closed doors that disappears as quickly as the words spoken. Out of his hole family (a bunch of pew warmers I might add), his kids along with other family members She is the only one that Got Me and loved me for me and loved me for loving her son. Honor her memory well by just being thankful that it was you that spent the time with her an on the mean/flip side of that the satisfaction that in due time God Does Let KARMA take care of those that deserve it!! Exact words spoken by my wife Melissa. It is OK. They know who they are. Oddly, non-family members reaped the benefits of her wonderful person. Glad that you had the pleasure of your dear MIL's acquaintance. You picked a good man, most likely he had a fine Mom. That wonderful man indeed came from an awesome woman!!! And get this (the part I love the most) we were so much a like haha She was a God-fearing, very outspoken, brutally honest, full of life kinda woman an I AM POSITIVE SHE LOOKS OVER US DAILY with pride and joy. As your mom will you.

Prayers to you. My Mom went Home at Easter time 17 years ago. Its a tough time. You are a fine son to take care of your mother for that long. You are the better man, do not let other family members bring you to their level. God bless you.
You have tears rolling down my cheeks.

Mr jamesp, Its so hard for me to read this thread almost has me bawling like a baby. I went through the same thing years ago and to this day I sure do miss my mom. I have forgiven my brothers and the others who didn't do right at the time and broke my moms heart. God bless everything will be ok.

Mothers never leave us. Yes, they seem to be out of sight when they are with Our Maker, but their eyes are always on us, helping to watch over us until it is our time to join them. Your Mom will be there in spirit each and every time you need her.
God Bless you both.
