A friend of mine has a sphere pre-grinder that would be easily adapted for eggs with a template. Just glue a small piece of plywood to each side and let it turn. In a sad sort of way I love your avatar I should borrow it for posting on the support forum.

Ha, Scott's was a 10 minute project Jugglerguy. I'll have that ready tomorrow. PM shipping address. Alabaster and onyx an easy rock to carve and cut. Agate would be another beast all together. Replace fixed cutter with a high speed rotating diamond wheel for effective cutting. Getting complicated. Wood bowl turners use rotating cutters to remove bulk material on a big chunk of raw material spinning on a wood lathe. Similar concept. Perhaps a modified concept of the universal tool sharpener. Rock is rotated slowly by hand, cutter is a high speed diamond wheel.

HP Shaping MachineYeah that's where they hold you over the barrel... they will have to "custom make them" for you for what your needs are. Don't know if I'd recommend it tho. I know someone that has one and had very little tech support when trying to keep it operational so he rigged it up to suite his needs.
