Sadly, I have lots of sand already. Paint me jealous. But your sand is beach sand.. Painting you with jealous aint gonna work rockjunquie You'll need sunblock paint on your ankles and elbows where your swimming suit don't protect you. Hope that helps..

I'll get the pic sent over. Ha ha Gosh dang Noah Awesome rock.. Got a lot of stones Noah.. There is it. That thing makes a guy want to get a grinder out and start smooving out the high spots. If you ever want that thing moved, let me know I think I'd like to carry it around. I need a 160 pound jasper in my back yard so I can get some exercise.

I'm good, do appreciate the offer though. Just enjoyed seeing it. What size is it?
Durango huh? I might have guessed Brazil.

It almost looks like Silicon Carbide crystals, very similar to a sample a Grit salesman brought with him to the Grinding wheel company I worked for 45 years ago.

That big ole foot would probably fit big ole Noah too. rockdunker is a big well put together load with a giant brain. He's in the Dakotas today probably boating up the Missouri River looking for Montanas and working. See him next weekend. We like playing catch with the jasper boulder under his foot but he always runs off after catching. Would be cool to try tumbling boulders in a mixer with the right adaptions and a thick slurry. . How did the weekend sales go? Hope good.. That way you wont feel bad about the rock samples you sent me to look at and how they mysteriously disappeared in the mail. Again.. Cant believe that post office. Did you drain the big saw yet? You have a good one Cliff

Cliff you can put the giant portable rocktumbler on your to do list, only tumbler you will need a class A CDL, very slow more people wanting to look at pretty rocks then wanting to buy them, I blame it on lack of inventory, alot of people asked if I would be back next weekend, I may do 1st. Weekend of the month starting September. I only set up 4 hrs. Each day. A guy that came by asked if I would trade, I said sure what you got? To be continued watch for a thread in the equipment section, it is pretty neat. I did send out the prizes from my contest.

I am thinking a trip to the Stillwell store might be in order with Teri probably out for the year. Though she might post a couple of larremore hunts that are guided by the larremores.

Was thinking the same thing fishnpinball Jean Larremore might do it and take up some of Terri's slack. Have some fragments that need to be taken out of my knee the 31st of Sept but hope to be perking along by third week in October.. Also thinking of stopping by the Dobell's petrified Wood ranch in Az. Maybe hounding some road cuts and RR track right of ways. Might check with a cousin down there and see if she knows some ranchers.

For getting from Texas to Arizona there is also the park near Deming New Mexico. I also know a guy that has a vineyard close to Cathedral mountain and might check with him to see if he can get me in somewhere. (He was on one of the subs I was on, though not at the same time)

What about the desert around there? Lots of dry streams that should be interesting. Which subs? What was your rating? E5 here.Offered e6 and a 20 k vrb but walked away and glad to be just coming home.

A good question is if there is BLM land near Deming to hunt. I also wonder if Deming is getting the rain like the Alpine area is. There should be a lot of new material visible around Alpine with them getting nice daily rains as often as they have lately. I did the USS Skate (SSN-578) USS Hawkbill (SSN-666) and the USS Batfish (SSN-681) I did instructor duty in Idaho and at NNPS in Orlando. I stuck at E6. Now it has been worth putting in 20 but back then I was not sure. I know guys that got out at 18 because they could not take it any longer. What boats were you on? Too bad I was not collecting rocks when I was up in Idaho.
