You’ve been spoiling us lately with all the great pictures, Ken. I think my favorites are the three in the “brothers from the same mother” picture. Is that Flint Ridge Flint? I also really like the two brown and white striped rocks in the first picture. They remind me of some local chert I tumble.

The brown white striped ones .... reminded me of chert as well. Thanks for the compliment on the pics Rob.

Super batch! I've wondered how those would tumble. Rob's right, you been putting out some terrific batches with beautiful pics. More please! I've got more to show/catch up on ... Bots (lots o' Bots), Carnelian, Brazilians, Bahias, Tiger Eye, some self collected and a few more. Also have a Sodalite, Quartz, Feldspar, Obsidian mix going into polish today that will need photographed. Will be posting as time/motivation allows.

These look really amazing. How long did you have to tumble them to get rid of all the imperfections? I am tumbling some prairie jasper now, and mine have a lot of imperfections.

Thank you for the "look really amazing". It's hard to say exactly how long most of these tumbled. They were started at different times with other materials. First few probably came out at around 6 weeks. Most of the larger ones took around 3 months. The most stubborn ones 6 months with a week off here and there as I started new stuff and then added them back when I needed volume.

What was the source of your rough, and what size(s) did you start with? What were your finishing steps after coarse? Thanks. Dave

Nice! Love the prairies in the 3rd photo. Something I've learned to appreciate here in South Dakota, and those are wonderful.

Pretty sure I had about 15# in the 2 to 4 inch range and the rest from 1.25 to 2. Most left whole only broke some along fracture lines. Finished in thumlers UV18. SIC 220, 48 hours. SIC 600 48 hours. AO1000, 72 hours. Rockshed AO polish, 72 hours. Last three steps with psyllium fiber as thickener.
