Great tumbles & photos, James! The variety in those Rios is amazing. I just got the Galaxy 8 and have been somewhat disappointed with the picture quality. The focus seams a little soft with the auto-focus. It got a little sharper, when I used thee manual focus in pro mode. I do think I got better photos from the 6. Or, maybe the dslr has made my expectations too lofty.... I still have a long way to go, to get to Randy's quality! How did you get to the pro mode? On my 7 it was easy to do, now with the 8+ I can't figure it out. With the camera up, slide the screen from left to right. That reveals the camera options menu. It's kinda weird....

Thanks txrockhunter. Yea, ole benchmark garage rocker. his photos sicken. txrockhunter MsAli: Me Bevis and Butthead are doing well with the iPad. Take photo w/iPad Photo shop w/iPad Send to flickr w/iPad Move to laptop and post photos on forum. I guess that could be done on the iPad too. Just snapped this one, vernier measurement and comparison of virgin high dense media before and after tumbling in SiC 30 for 48 hours. Couple of desk lamps and 15 seconds to compose. From the beaches of Sri Lanka (just came back on a day trip not really) Added a touch of light with the photo shopper

That does take a good photo- when you say Photoshop are you cropping picture to "zoom in?

In your phone you should be able to find a place to edit your photos MsAliOnce you have taken photos look for the editor. If you select a photo it should give you a choice to go into edit mode with some weird icon(damn the icons) Here is how edit mode looks on the iPad. I can crop, change exposure, modify color enrichment, make photo black and white, etc. I used this editor to make 3 levels of brightness on this colored glass(mild adjustments): darkest(original) brighter brightest(my fav)

Looking at them the original (top) looks brighter than the bottom photo. Are they labeled in order?

Looking good enough to eat. That iPad is making it look easy. Glad you've found a system you like.
What's up with this, though? "Yea, ole benchmark garage rocker. his photos sicken."

Uh, yeah, if you can do this with the DSLR...
...then you don't have to go anywhere. You're there!!!

"Yea, ole benchmark garage rocker. his photos sicken." "sicken" "green with envy" "The Benchmark" of fine photography "The Master" " Garage Rocker" Context clarified ? You and that Texan. The iPad is real easy. not a DSLR though.

Just giving you a hard time, jamesp. It helps to have the gear, but it's time for a new background though. Thinking of giving that paper plate a try.

Just giving you a hard time, jamesp. It helps to have the gear, but it's time for a new background though. Thinking of giving that paper plate a try. Producer for the Walking Dead came by to buy a fire pit today. Interesting fellow. His wife is their location scout. She took photos for 30 minutes. Maybe I will get a Walking Dead series filmed out here. That would be the third movie industry bunch that has been out here in a couple of weeks to buy a fire pit for themselves or for a set. One pit is going to be on Kevin(probably) Saves the World, ABC. They sent 2 young girls out to pick up a 54 inch fire pit in a small family van. The pit had to go into the van sideways and severely damaged the interior. Did they care ? Not. Bout killed me. Useless help. Probably 20% of the people that pick up fire pits are in the movie biz. The grips and set builders often offer drugs lol. Y'ALLYWOOD FILM FESTIVAL They call us Y'allywood.
