It's pretty hard not to see what's in this image.. Can you believe that 65 million years ago they did this? Tsk tsk, no manners. This is the Big Crazy the image was lifted from, kinda not hard to miss being it's on the end. weighs in at 2#-12oz, dimensions, 7.0" X 5.5" X 1.5" Cheers, johnw

Of all the posts I have made on the "what do you see in a stone" I believe this one has got to be the most interesting one and does not require anyone to stretch their imagination to see what I was trying to show. Cheers, johnw

Taking rocks2dust comments about Mick Jagger "Yeah, Mick Jagger is really old enough to be petrified, maybe not quite 65 million, but gettin' close" to another level of understanding, being: "petrification" the process by which organic matter exposed to minerals over a long period gets turned into stone, is represented by this image and its called..... "The Agony of Petrification"....................................... warning, its not for the faint of heart. If you can "see" the face, well, the rest is left to your imagination as to the agony being experienced. Err.......its only a stone folks and this guy was not one of the extras in the Mummy Returns movie.

Since this is ghouls and goblins night and any other "thing" that scares the livin' daylights out of ya, here is my friends buddy. He too suffered the agony of petrification......he also lost a tooth. But, the worst has yet to come......be advised it is gruesome.....it is awful.... .....because the "thing" in question....well....it grew another face. It gives an entirely different meaning to being called two-faced. Please scroll down...... One head, two faces and lots of lumps.....aaaaggggggghhhhh..... Happy Halloween. images by Taasher and me. Cheers, johnw

This post is dedicated to fernwood who first got me interested in this site.....I had great fun with the images I was able to conjure up with the Bahia's but now that I have transitioned to Lace, as in Big Crazies, it get's infinitely better since Lace offers a whole lot more "imagery" opportunities to explore. So here goes...... I picked up a fantastic "Big Crazy" specimen from eBay, (West Coast Gems), that knocked my socks off for the visual effects it presented and the opportunity it provided to enhance even further with careful tumbling. Here are the images. First one, as it is and the second, the flip side. What got my interested in this stone was the face on the flip side. Can you see it on the right? It's kinda emerging from the rock and trying to escape it's bondage. I lifted the image for a better visual. The piece is 2 pounds, 4oz and is 5"x 3.5"x 4.5' Hope you enjoy. Cheers, johnw Images by Linda and me. A big shout out to beefjello who introduced me to the term "Big Crazy" beefjello said: Looking forward to your results, not only with the "big Crazies" but also with the filler agates! Thank you beefjello, the term "Big Crazy and Big Crazies" with live forever. Cheers, johnw

johnw Thank you for the kind comment. I was just wondering if other here saw life in their stones. Your contributions to this thread have been amazing. You have gotten others to see, really see the stone. @drummond Island Rocks There is a gangster in that cab. Guessing Pre 1950. This was his last cigar. Note the images above his head that are being held by others. Sorry to bring up gross images in the minds of others.

Chuck Awesome, Chuck this is profound, I flipped it horizontally and did a micro zoom on it, and it's actually Tony Montana from Scarface, he's holding a Tommy Gun, has a striped tie and is wearing sunglasses. There are two feds wearing dark glasses above his head slightly to the right between the two grey rocks, one being an alien with one eye staring down at an Amish lady who seems to be praying. Here is the amazing part, if you flip the stone vertically the Tony Montana image turns in Michelle Obama. Go figure.................... I think I'm going to get a job reading tea leaves.............. Cheers, johnw

I think I am going to have to take a rest from this thread since everywhere I look at I see a face. For example, this evening I was about to peel potatoes for dinner and this was the first spud I grabbed. Go figure. I don't make this stuff up...................... Cheers, johnw
