Thanks for all of the kind words. I think I addressed questions in here, but I'll comment on the Bloodstone tkvancil. As you noted, it is more than willing to take a good shine. It's nice and hard, and I haven't been disappointed by it yet. However, as I've noted with prior runs of it, it's somewhat prone to developing little crescent shaped fractures if it's not cushioned well enough - kind of sensitive like quartz despite the hardness. Just a note in the event you want to try it. Thank you all again.

NRG sent me some Lavic. Blown away by it. Most colorful. All colors except blue. I was late getting a vibe too. Used rotary for about 4 years and did just fine. Should get a star next to your avatar for being a rotary man where is NRG ? Thanks James. Looks like he was on yesterday, but I haven't heard anything from him lately. I did receive a reddit link from him the other day, but nothing else personal. Im just trying to make a living. Nothing more. Thanks for thinking of me.

Agreed it can frost and half moon. 85% full barrel or lots cushioning. Yes, about like crystalline quartz and maybe a bit tougher. I like it because it rarely has pits and cracks. Believe it is a jasper. Found out it was softer when pre-shaping on a diamond wheel.

That’s a great batch, Dave. Nice photography too. I’m still impressed with the rotary finish.

The bloodstone steals the show here, but I have to say, I like that Turitella. I've never got very good results with it. There's also a really good run with numbers 11-13.
Thanks for the tag on the Lavic. That was a great piece you sent me.

I'm glad you enjoyed that piece. It took me totally by surprise, and I've got to say you did well with it. It was neat to look at. captbob used to state that "even a monkey" could polish up some material. It's looking like bloodstone is the same way, though there are some precautions that need to be taken with it. The pieces you noted are Lavic. Love the stuff. Thanks for jumping in. ETA: Forgot the part about turitella. Some parts of it shine up great...other parts undercut tremendously. It's neat to see a final product nontheless. Have fun in Ohio.
