The stuff from Mexico is called Morado opal but I've never seen any as nicely banded as this stone. Beautiful whatever it is.

Wow nice slabs. Think most of them have been nailed down and I'd agree with most the IDs.
#1 Light colored Luna, not all is deeper purple #2 Crazy Lace #3 Fossiliferous limestone but not Devil's Toenals which is a specific type of oyster. Some kin of clamshell fragments #4 Plasma #5 not a clue #6 Parrel Dendrite Agate out of Mexico #7 Pink Imperial Jasper #8+9 Prudent Man Plume #10 Brown Biggs #11 Blue Biggs #12 Ricolite if softer, if hard, could be green Imperial #13 Spiderman Jasper #14 Nipomo Marcasite in agate #15 Mexican Purple opal #16 probably Laguna because the exterior I can see does not look like Casas Grandes or Parcelas

I went back through my images and found the name, but you beat me to it. I had 2 slabs. One was banded. Beautiful stuff but very brittle and fractured.
