Can I get everyone's opinion on changing it to a large flat rate. This way some more tumbling material can be added

I have no preference. However, if even 1 person would object, I'll change my vote from 'Abstain' to 'No' (just because this should be fun and I wouldn't want this to become more burdensome than what anyone signed up for doing).

Agree. Beth already said no, so I'll keep it as a medium. Need to rethink what's going in there

I will be happy to PayPal the difference in shipping costs from large to medium for anyone who votes no. Would this be ok?

I'm ok with it either way.
Just a thought, though -- Ali, why don't you just take out a few more things in order to fit what you're putting in?

By the time the last box got to me, it was a LFRB. Contained well over $100.00 worth of materials. I sprung for the additional insurance on that one. By the time one adds the additional postage for a LFRB and additional insurance, the cost goes up considerably. A LFRB of RTH member materials will always have a value of over $100.00. My biggest concern was not as much the cost, but my inability to lift a LFRB that is carefully packed with everything it can. Changes in local postal service here, would prevent my past method of carrier coming in my front hall and removing/placing the box on a 5 gal. pail there. This was the only way I could handle LFRB's. I even packed and sealed the boxes in front hall on the pail. Or, unpacked boxes there when I was home at time of delivery. When not home, I had to open the box outside and carry contents in a few pieces at a time.

Sorry, just saw this thread. I'm fine with either way also, but after reading Beth's post I think we should be considerate of what she said. Just my two cents.

If others want the LFRB, then I will bow out of participating. Just be aware of about a $5.00 difference in shipping cost and an increase of about $4.00 for insurance for a LFRB with a value of $150.00.

Lets just stick with the MFRB this round, I know it is super hard for all these generous members to take as much as they add, but I believe in them!

To the point here, if our wonderful cabbers/slabbers could take some extra, I'd like to try to eliminate one of the SFRBs that contain slabs to make more room for tumbling material. As it sits, a little more than half the box is taken up by slabs, well, their packaging that keeps them intact anyways.

I tried to get it down to only 2 boxes of slabs, but that didnt work Suggestions?

Luminin Yes, the slabs do take up some room, but well worth it. Last round one of the larger and more valuable ones was in 2 pieces when I received the box, so I took that one. Maybe those putting items in the box, should consider smaller slabs? Items 4" or less in size? Also to fill in the gaps of the SFRB's with smaller slabs instead of starting a new section. Rearrange things to maximize the available space, but be sure to transfer any ID to the new location. Just a thought. I used very strong packing tape when I sent the last box to you.
