Thanks brother. I actually really enjoy sagenite. Considering I don’t really see it or find it all that often.

1 and 3 are fantastic but tell me about the nick on the finger. The limbcast are pics my dad had sent me. I asked him about that a while back. If I remember correctly he was tinkering with the saw and somehow cut himself. Much better than the time he shoved his pocket knife clean through his hand trying to add anti-gel additive to the diesel 🤣 My poor mom lol

If anyone else has sagenite pics. Please post in this thread. If you know locality/name of material, even better.

I’m trying to remember the name of the rock made of sagenite mixed with amethyst. Cacoxenite ? A favorite rock. Beautiful! Thanks for the lovely show.

Gorgeous material! I love sagenite. I have a hunk of Mexican around here somewhere - I'll try to find it tomorrow and get a picture.

Time for a Trent Agate fix... One of my favorites... These were cut over a period of time and you have my apologies if you have seen them before. Dug near Dexter Oregon in the 60's and early 70's by my father and grand father.

Gorgeous material! I love sagenite. I have a hunk of Mexican around here somewhere - I'll try to find it tomorrow and get a picture. Well it took me a minute but here are some photos of my hunk of Mexican Sagenite - when I got this boulder it weighed around 20 lbs if I remember right - I did a lot of cutting on it and now it's about a 6" x 4" x 4" block. Along with slabbing the rock I cut a ton of cabochons and cab preforms. I fully intend to make cabs from every one of these ... right Here is another unrelated piece of Mexican. The photo doesn't do it justice, it's a beautiful purple and just gorgeous. This is a single piece of Sheeps Creek Bridge Arizona purple sagenite that I bought along the way. The sprays are very subtle and hard to see in the photo. Big Diggins This was a random slab of unidentified sagenite - I honestly don't even remember where I got it but I must have had intentions of cabbing it just like every other slab I cut up. Another unidentified - I have no recollection where this came from.

Nice stuff. Thank you for sharing. I don’t see a lot of sagenite in circulation, so it’s always cool to see what’s out there. I’ve never found much for a deposit of the stuff. Always just odds and ends when I’m out and about.
