Yes i figured on the last one it was quartz, But it has flakes on it as well and they just fall off onto your hand when u handle the rock to much. Either way they sit as display pieces on my toilet tank!

Randy- I order a Thulmers 9lb tumbler with a spare 3lb barrel.. I figured get one that can go from big to small if i want! Beef- I have honestly thought about going out at night but honestly being so new to this I don't even know where to look.. I went out in april to the desert mountains near 167th ave south of lake plesant and also I poked around the river bed near ben avery off carefree highway found a cool shiny rock though not sure what it is it looks like it has thin flaky crystal layers on it its pretty cool and shines alot!

Found this forum yesterday and am very happy with all the info i have found so far on here! My rock tumbler should be here any day now, As well as some Rough to get me started.. I plan to go find my own stuff once the Arizona summer heat goes away and that cannot come any faster!!! I want to learn how to wire wrap jewelry does anyone know of any courses or any clubs for wire wrapping or rock hounding?
