I am assuming that first pic happened due to a really large agate.

Looks like a successful trip to me! That pink druzy pocket looks awesome! Thanks Quartz! I think I would consider this one the MOST successful trip I've had down at Fairburn. Usually I'm skunked when I go down there! LOL I am assuming that first pic happened due to a really large agate. Right!!! I have NO clue how that happened. It didn't happen this morning...so it's been there for a bit. There's a "slight" slope to the edge of the road there...but I didn't think it was enough to tip that beast over! Excellent finds, Jason! The pink druzy is killer. Thanks my friend!! I'm not a fan of cutting most Fairburns...but SO many of these are begging to be cut. I have an idea there won't by much of anything on the inside...but I still have hope until they go under the knife! LOL

Very cool, nice finds Jason! I've only been to Fairburn a couple of times and only found a few- I'd say your trip was a success as well! We've both been out plenty of times and gotten skunked...

Thanks my friend!! I think pretty soon we could call each other Pepé Le Pew One and Two! LOL It was SO much fun finding these today. That first individual pic is 100% Fairburn...but I'm on the fence about the other ones being Fairburn Signers or not... I'm going to cut all of them except that first one...it'll stay "as is"...for awhile at least! LOL

Thanks for the prayers, Jason jasoninsd. Don't think there will be any issues, but one never knows. Bob has pretty much went up to this stage a year ago, at which time his cardiologist said his valve wasn't "that bad" yet. He's been saying that for a few years, lol. BUT when they got to this point last time, they found he had an 80% blockage in the coronary artery. His doc put two stents in, now he's ready to go again. I hope the second time this will get done! Amazing to think of the things they can do to fix our old decrepit bodies. I will probably just drop him off at 5am, then come back home and nap for a couple hours, then go back and pick him up when they call. Jason, I will definitely keep you and everyone else up to date!

I'm sure I'll be reciprocating that "jealousy" when you post pics of those slabs!! I'd love to see pics of the potential Teepee/Fairburns. I'll see if I can help you ID them if you post pics of them.

Looked like a great way to celebrate a job done !
A day out to clear your head, with nice scenery & find fine rocks to collect.
Thanks for sharing your day, Patty

Tear it up Jason. That topography and exposed ground has to have tons of treasures. Good to see you get some free time and do some collecting. You know you got some fine rocks out that way - 100 pound Fairburns, an unfound dino bone deposit, a field of poppy agates...How about another discovery of turquoise rivaling that found at the Sinai peninsula that made so many wealthy. I do hope you find something to put in your cab arsenal. Creeks often yield well since they often cut deep into other layers. Cold season up there must make creek collecting limited to warm weather.
Speaking of tractors, cautiously mowed overgrown vegetation most of the day yesterday which makes it difficult to see the pond edges and drop-offs. Best to keep it mowed so you can see where you are going. Ole tractor ran like a top but I kept waking up last night from bad roll over dreams. I hope that fellow you passed was as fortunate as I was.
