jasoninsd Those are awesome Jason!! Love the first and fourth ones the best. Thanks Ashley! I'm still working on figuring out how to use the weaving, without it looking like it's overwhelming. I think there's a way...I just gotta figure it out. LOL

I think I had mine for years before I came across something I needed it for. Unsure what I was thinking when I bought it. LOL! I've ordered replacement spools of 20 gauge TWICE since I got that dang copper CABLE! LOL I know it can be used in a "frame-type" style of wrapping. Maybe that should be something I look into...once I get the weaving down...which will be a while! LOL (My eyes keep bugging out when I'm doing the weaving. Maybe I shouldn't do it at 1am by candlelight! LOL) Here's me doing weaving: Spectacles, Optivisor, my Dazor magnifying lamp at the table with my wire and pliers strewn all over and the appropriate fingers wrapped with that cushy tape. Very attractive.

jasoninsdI think your weaving looks good and not too much. Sometimes the weaving can be too much and sometimes I think it looks whimsical and robotic if that makes sense. (Probably doesn't make sense lol kinda reminds me of gears and inside workings of some tim burton film or something!) the third one looks whimsical to me, which I like and the other weaves look like a nice accent.

How hilarious that you mention wraps looking like a Tim Burton film...right AFTER I posted an image of me feeling like Edward Scissorhands when wrapping...which is a TIM BURTON FILM!

I love the first and second one, and they all are quite nice. Not only are you trying out new techniques, but it sounds like you are having a great time doing it! BTW, the most important thing for weaving, IMHO, is good thumbnails. And Robin's optivisor, etc.

I can't cab and wrap within the same time period...as cabbing grinds the nails away...and I NEED them for weaving! LOL I'm kidding about that...kind of! LOL - I'm constantly using my nails when doing wraps. My nails are extremely strong...which is why my wife doesn't ask me to scratch her back anymore...because I always end up SCRATCHING her back! Oops!

jasoninsd , I finally figured out what some of the dark wire wraps remind me of theme-wise, especially the one in the third photo. I saw ashley 's comments about "gears" and "robotic," and it hit me. Steampunk. I think it's a great look.

I almost made a comment when ashley said that about the "gears"...when I was looking through TONS of different wraps, I did run across some pieces that were deemed Steampunk. The wraps actually had gears - from watches I assume - incorporated into the wraps! I thought it was interesting...not something I'd look at doing necessarily...but I did admire the artistry!

I envy your free time and motivation right now. Oh don't envy my motivation...it's a bit lacking after this one! LOL - I might need a few more days "rest" before I tackle another one like these! LOL

Those are all great. You certainly are raising the bar. Thanks Diane! I know!! And I'm short...so the higher the bar gets, the more exponentially difficult it becomes! LOL (*Sounded like a good excuse! LOL)

I'm joining the chorus of voting for #2--I really like the placement of the beads at the bottom. But, as usual, all are spectacular!
