Cheeks, the most social of the 3 feral cats that allow us to feed them, shown giving my crappy welding a cat scan. Test doesn't apply to them as they aren't interested in indoor living.

If you’re interested in cats and have Netflix, you should watch “Inside the mind of a cat”, good stuff. I am a cat-person. The current queen of the house is a seriously intelligent gray tabby female, she was the runt of her litter.

My cats definitely aren't super smart but that test doesn't work well for them. They would be dumb if they came running with the sound of a can opener. For one thing I don't have an electric can opener. For another. I don't feed them canned food. My test has that I've had them for over 2 years and one of them has just figured out how to use the dog door that he watches the dog use multiple times a day. The dog from next door came over. It took him 5 minutes. Now I have to figure out something to do because Freddy is supposed to be an inside cat. He needs some more shots. Both of these guys were living in a 4-inch drainage pipe in my backyard when I found them. They say 6 to 8 weeks old is the point of no return for feral cats when you can no longer train them. These must have been right at 7 weeks when I found them. They took a long time to come around. Like a year and a half before I could touch Freddy's head. They still aren't cuddlers or much of lap sitters but they do like to have their head scratched! This is Freddy. It's funny because Freddy was like the runt. He was tiny compared to Fiona. He's considerably larger now! And his sister Fiona

Cheeks update. Now he has found the van seat in the alcove area where he can be seen out the french doors. Taco the chihuahua has noticed him and does not approve. There was a small confrontation yesterday while I was away working, fortunately no injuries. Not sure how we can teach him boundaries without running him off entirely, any ideas from our kitty whisperers?

It's all about common ground! *I know...not really what you were looking for... LOL

The tortilla harnedd would be fantastic for the dog. The cat may not allow it.
