Many years ago we had 2 pekingese (both had been strays) which were my kids & pups.  When we took in Sophie, the older one, we actually thought she had her barker removed (is that even possible ?) A whole week & not a sound, & then my Mother showed up for a visit, & she barked like mad at her. Tom, my husband, said Sophie knew when & who to bark at, & she won his heart . 
Sasha, our little one, never barked, except at the UPS driver - She was a real sweetie, but really hated him for some reason. One day I was standing in the open screen door talking to him, and she ran out and grabbed onto his pants cuff, growling and shaking it like a bulldog. The look on his face as he looked down at this little tiny dog growling and pulling on his cuff, was pretty funny.

How have I never seen this thread before?! What a great idea. Nice pics everyone. Adding in a few of my favorites. The first and last time I ministered a wedding (of the friend that introduced me to my fiancée), what we normally look like (i.e. hiking), and then a picture where I got my rock tumbling hobby kicked off (Carlsbad beaches, where I found some pretty rocks that were askin' for a good tumblin'!)    |

Because of the Covid lockdowns of the last few years (read: stay at home, eat, don't exercise), there are no photos taken of me within the last few years that I will inflict on you. This photo is a group of (mostly) RTHlings, in Quartzsite in January, 2015. The photo was taken on the RTH field trip to Brenda, AZ.  Back row, Left to right: Irving and Anita (friends of ours from a previous rock club we belonged to that have gone out to Q with us several times), Mark Mark K, me rockpickerforever, my hubby mrrockpickerforever, Tommy's wife, Tommy Tommy, Charley as a young pup in Tommy's arms (his first trip to Q!) and front row, Diane ( drocknut). Tommy's wife set up the camera and took the photo using the built in timer. Was going to just edit out a pic of the two of us, then thought, What the heck, I'm sure others here would enjoy seeing the rest of the group! We've gone to Brenda three or four times, and field trips to other locations near Q as well. And a great time was had by all! That was the best trip ever. |

It was taken NYE 2014 - if I waited any longer to post it, it will be over 10 years old so its now or never! He's got a full beard now, basically because he has a baby face. (We were almost 40 here - almost 50 now. lol But this is two halves of the tribe  |
