Well hell, I can't go applauding and admiring everyone else's shares without at least putting some effort into it. Not many selfies these days LOL and those two trouble makers at the bottom aren't any help.
It's nice to put faces to the names, makes everyone that much more human

Hi Pat Most camera have a self timer setting That can be set for 2 seconds or even 10 seconds. This new Canon I got can even be set for continuous. Clicking ever every 2 seconds or so. Plan on using that mode for capturing upcoming monsoon lightening strikes With the South Mountain pic I didn’t have a tri0 pod to steady the camera. recall having a hassles trying to get it to balance on rocks, As I gingerly walked away to the edge of the cliff ha I secured an inexpensive surveyors tripod from Good Will. Modified it somewhat. That what I uses to avoid the shakes on the long view photos. Set the timer and let it click away Thanks for asking Pat

Thanks, Ed, I had forgotten all about the timer! mohsI used to use it a lot, so the click wouldn’t record.

Interesting about the video record function its a feature I never really used al-tho I inadvertently hit it at the most inopportune times then when I play it back I hear myself self grumbling as I try to get back to regular settings

rockjunquie Thanks! I will be 35 on June 8th. My husband and I meet while we were both in the Army in Washington state and got married at 20 and 22. (My husband is two years younger than me.) Had our first at 23, so we started kinda young. We have an 11 yr old, 9 yr old, 6 yr old, 3 yr old, and a 1 1/2 yr old and are done. And no there never is a break! We have always homeschooled so the kids are always here! I’m originally from Virginia. Near Martinsville and Stuart area. Where are you at in Virginia?! Awesome! You'll never regret homeschooling- though I'm sure there are days you already do. People generally don't have big families anymore- so more power to you. I have a big extended family, too. Wouldn't trade a big family for nothing.
I live in Tidewater, Virginia Beach.

I have met quite a few RTH'ers in person and it's definitely nice to be able to put a face with a name. This is me at a Burro Creek (I think this was taken in 2020). I don't have any children but do have a fur-baby, Gypsy

My first year in rocket league football, this old goat of a coach started calling me Lumberlegs, I was a huge kid for my age, haven't grown an inch since 6th grade. So the name kind of stuck with and some of the guys kept using in highschool so eventually I just embraced it

My last name is Gates and in h.s. the wrestling coach dubbed me Gater. And next thing I know I'm Gater from them on from the boys. People only new me as Gater lol! I love origin Storys. Not growing since 6th grade is a feat! Thanks for the story man! Johnny aGates
