Here is a pic of the Missus and I (Leslie & Dillon), then some pics of me in my viking phase. Face to a nameWe have a 4 year old daughter, but I don't post her picture on the internet. OMG!!! I'm SO jealous of the beard!!! LOL The beard is actually how Leslie and I met. She came up to me and said "I like your beard". The rest is history.

perkins17 “Young” it is Nicholas! Totally get it! I’m with you on that one. Make sure non of these rock forum crazies show up at your place stealing all your rocks! Not too scared of my rock buddies on here, but the crazies that might have access to the internet and subsequently this forum. I'd fight real hard for my rocks though!

You’ll have to cut off the stash and just go with the underneath if you want to don the true Viking phase! 🇳🇴 But since you have a nice wife and she likes your beard, you can have a pass. 😉

Oh no. Carried away would have been taking it ALL off! I'll stick with the old high-and-tight for awhile.

looking through pictures and realized all of the ones I have are of me and one of my kids! Here are a few without kiddos. My husband and I. And my twin sister and I. (I’m on the right.) Can you guess what All the grey is on my hands?! Nice pics. PLEASE tell me in the first pic you aren't dumping your slurry down the bathroom sink!!!! Are you and your sister fraternal twins, or is she standing on a rock?

markbYep, all down the drain!! Lol, just kidding. I have a 5 gallon bucket with a strainer that I dump it into. I do it in the bathroom to have easy access to the water. Thank you for looking out for me and the plumbing! No we are identical twins, she was standing on a retainer wall at the park! We’re the same height. I miss her, she lives back home in Virginia.

I feel better now knowing you won't have to excavate the yard to dig up the drain pipes now! I used to do mine in the kitchen sink, but inside a white tub. Now I do it in a double stainless steel sink I got for free off Craigslist, that sits outside. The slurry drains into a 5 gallon bucket below. It's sooooo much better! Does your sister have children too?

jasoninsd That’s funny Jason, I used to watch Dexter back in the day, I see it now that you said that lol! 82nd Airborne, how’s your knees treating you?! Thank you for your service. My husband and I both were 33E, prison guards stationed in Ft. Lewis Washington, up near perkins17 Nicholas’ neck of the woods. They're doing surprisingly well...I never had a bad jump thank goodness! (Well...I never had a bad landing! LOL) Thank you both for YOUR service! I went in 11B...and reclassified to 43E (Parachute Rigger). Spent most of my time down in Ft. Bragg, NC. Thanks to all 3 of you for your service. Jason, I was right down the road from you at Ft Bragg in the 426 Signal Bn. Yes, I was a "leg" Went in as a Russian linguist. Washed out of school. (I never learned to do homework) and became a 26L then 26V tactical microwave repair (radio) Probably done at Bragg when you got there. I was out in Dec 78.

jasoninsd We weren’t in very long, just a few years. Husband didn’t like being told what to do and I wanted to be at home with our first daughter, she was 9 month old when I got out. You find out real quick in the military that you’re fighting for everyone’s freedoms while you have none. Anyway, Ft. Bragg, did you like it there? I’m originally from Virginia, near the border of NC. I love the scenery back home it’s so pretty. Ft Bragg sucks. NC is beautiful. I lived off base in a very small town called Rockfish. Incredible people there. Rockfish had a convenience store. (with a big hunk of cheese by the cash register if you wanted to buy a snack). There was a water tower, a volunteer fire house and a train that came right by our yard twice a day. One way in the morning, the opposite way in the evening. It took workers somewhere on an open car with benches. I rented a 9 room farm house for $50 a month! I was single when I was in the Army. Had to maintain a room in the barracks, but I still owned chickens and a goat.

ashley be careful what you ask for. Something my sister put together: I was an awkward youth. Grew up BRASH! Went through several phases- But calmed down when I became a rockhound. Who am I? Depends on the moment.

Yeah...you were outta there a bit before me. I was 92, 93, and 94...between both Gulf Wars...thankfully. jasoninsd We weren’t in very long, just a few years. I wish now I had spent more time out exploring what NC had to offer, rather than parking my butt on a barstool on most of my off-time! But I didn't...so it is what it is.
