Cabs 1 & 2 are my favorites. #1 looks like coquina with shell fragments and what I called drills(turritella) cemented together as a child.

That’s an awesome gift! Is that ford pickup another project?🤗 Yes! The truck and the 56 Customline next to it (out of sight in this shot) are both in the "gonna do that someday" pile. One of the things I've really enjoyed about lapidary stuff is that an hour or two in the shop produces a lot more results than an hour or two with one of those.

How do you like those sanding wheels compared to the Geni's Nova wheels? I've never used a Nova wheel, so I couldn't say. The only thing I had before this one was a slant cabber (which I loved, to be fair, but this has more versatility and is way faster.) These cabs were my first time ever using a cabber of this kind.
I had intended to build a cabber using Novas (which is how I wound up with this lovely gift - lots of youtube and browser histories ratted me out.) but now that I have this one I'll probably not get a chance to try Novas for a while.
Would love to know what other people think though!

That’s great, love the the oldies but goodies. Our garage is home to lots of pet projects too. We’re getting our 1970 Chevy pickup ready for our third daughter’s wedding in April. We drove our girls home after they were born and to the church for their weddings in it.🤗

One of the best trucks I ever had was a '69 Chevy C-10 with a 350 under the hood. It had a "three on the tree"...and I could watch the gas gauge go down when I romped on it! LOL

LOL Thanks jasoninsd I bet your “3 on the tree” was a blast. You never see them anymore except at car/truck shows. Not many people even know how to drive stick shifts anymore, (good anti theft device)🤣
