What a great idea! I was just thinking about a slab swap last night. Some nice cabs there. I'm a sucker for dino bone.

Don't be shy guys! We can come to an agreement. I'm pretty easy.
I'd like to see this become sort of a regular thing for people and for rockbrain 's idea of doing a slab swat. I think they would be fun for everyone. I've had a lot of support for this, so I think people are interested in seeing more. Do you have some to offer? |

Alas, the weather is much too cold to work on cabs right now and I've got an interesting bunch partially done right now . . .but that's not going to stop me from looking at my stash this evening to see if I have a bunch that's worthy of those that I can bear to part with. Maybe they won't be snatched up by then (?) Well, it doesn't look like anyone is breaking down the doors! LOL!
Looking forward to seeing what you have.
Remember I said same quality, not same value. It's not you it's me! ummm... wait that doesn't sound right...
Seriously, I can't make anything of this quality yet. It's a privilege to get to see really great quality work here. It gives me something to aim for!

The post office surprised me today. susand24224 mailed her package to me from across the country, day before yesterday. By noon today, I had it. WTH? Why can't they always do that? But, here's the kicker... it was first class, NOT priority. (I don't see the sense in priority these days- first class is usually fine.)
Anyway, Thank you so much, Susan, for swapping with me. I already have an idea for the "boomerang".

I'm all in for a slab swap. I have a bunch! When I sell cabs I don't sell anything I didn't cut myself (with very rare exceptions, which I always mention).
Most of us cab cutters are looking for variety. When I buy batches of rough many of the slabs end up looking much the same. After cutting several similar-looking cabs I usually put those slabs away and they just gather dust but they might be interesting to others.
Keep me in the loop if this idea works out.

I got my package of beautiful cabs from Tela. They were even more gorgeous in person. Can’t wait to use them in new designs. Thanks Tela for the great idea for swapping.
