Sharp. Will you attach the 4x4 legs to the ply? I wonder if you dont that the vibration will send your jars over the edge if it isn't level?

I can’t find the dog. I’ve looked all over.🤓 Looks like a really handy bench!👍 I like all your organization. I assume the 3 different colored buckets are for 3 different processes? Ha you presume me to be MUCH more organized than I am!! 🤣🤣🤣 one bucket has a crack in the bottom. So I take it to the beach to collect rocks. One bucket has a bar screwed on half way so I can fill it up with water and drill holes in rocks. The other one probably just had rocks? I have a LOT of buckets, and now I’m considering being as organized as you presumed me to be… Oh…and there was supposed to be a video? 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I’ll try again.

The 4x4s are attached to the 2x1s and the ply is screwed to that…there will be boards on the back and sides to prevent walking off. And I’m planning trim to hide the 2x4s and 2x1s. Plan on having in about 1/2 higher on the shelves to prevent the same. Definitely still a work in progress. I’m very excited about it though. The house has been too quiet…need to get everything rocking and rolling again!!!

I can 100% say it was 100% worth it to make the poured concrete workbench top. IF I was ready to bolt the whole thing down to the floor, I think it would have been awesome. I love my worktop. But, I did end up with final mounting of both my single & double Lot-O to a pretty serious pile of concrete blocks. 3 layers of 3 blocks plus 3 cap stones.
Side notes: When the lot-o's were first started up everything was excellent. It wasn't until they "gummed up" that there was an issue. It did vibrate all my stuff off the shelves. (As expected) IF I didn't have anything on the shelves, or put a lip around (which I still plan on doing), then the poured concrete top was a success. OR, if you didn't want to store anything, and just have a raised top to work on....then definitely an option.
Fun experiment, & I got a great workbench out of the process.

Did you use 'counter top cement'?
If I can figure how to get pics posted off my wife's phone, I will start another thread on the last cement counter top I did. I had some low grade blackskin agate I set into the counter. I also ground the top to expose the aggregate.
This year will find new counter tops here. Complete with geometric intarsia mooseblood kona dolomite. I expect the dolomite to be easier to grind. It is closer to new cement hardness than agate.

Late (very late!) reply. It sounds interesting, icon_think I think you aught to try it.
