I was trying to get these done as the bolt on my genie backed off into the tray and my wheels were spinning independently at the start. Weird day. These are on the small side for me.
Owyhee Flower Jasper
I included this, but you have to know this Astrophyllite has lots of chatoyant needles. Thank you jasoninsd!
Owyhee jasper The spot elongated in the grind.
Rhodochrosite
Prudent Man Agate 42mm
I'd have to look in my records to find the source, but this is some kind of sagenite. A few pits and the quartz was sugary, but it came out ok.
Thanks for looking!

I think you have six winners here Tela!! Owyhee Flower Jasper - I absolutely LOVE the shape you chose for this one! Astrophyllite - We're gonna have to talk! This came out fantastic! I've tried to work it, and the dang stuff kept undercutting badly for me! Rhodochrosite - What's not to love! Prudent Man - This one's best of show to me! I could seriously stare at that cab for an hour!!

I tried to pick a favorite but gave up very early on. But--"picture" in the first one is stellar, and the handling of the astrophyllite superb, plus it's fascinating material. But--I've never seen a prudent man cabochon I didn't love.

Wow Tela that Flower Jasper is captured PERFECTLY. But although the bouquet of flowers is sooo nice, I can't help seeing the volcano in it
The Prudent Man Agate is one I haven't seen before, but is a spectacular cab, there is so much going on it there.
Can't wait to see it wrapped & appreciated.
For someone having wheel troubles, you'd never know it .
Thanks for the show,
Patty

All of them are stunning, but the flower jasper clearly takes the stage. Looks like a bursting volcano.

Wow they are gorgeous. Love the Owyhee Flower Jasper and Prudent Man Agate! Thank you, those are my favs and seem to be the stand out favorites. Thanks, Jason! The astrophyillite was unexpectedly soft. I've had quite a few delicious cabs of it, but I have never worked it. I used a light touch for long periods on the soft wheels. That seemed to work. Thank you and thanks, as always, for looking. I see a tree but after liveoak's adrian65's posts about a volcano, I can't unsee it! Wow. Those are all very nice cabs. Really interesting materials and pretty cuts.👍 Thank you! It's been a while and I feel like I am still warming up again. I tried to pick a favorite but gave up very early on. But--"picture" in the first one is stellar, and the handling of the astrophyllite superb, plus it's fascinating material. But--I've never seen a prudent man cabochon I didn't love. Thanks, Susan! I love that Prudent Man- probably the best one I've done. I think it will get put away. Wow Tela that Flower Jasper is captured PERFECTLY. Thank you, Patty! The Prudent Man is getting harder to find the good stuff, but you can still get it.
Man, those wheels were tripping me out. I didn't even notice they were spinning at different rates until I saw it on video. It made zero difference to cabbing- oddly enough.
Holy cow what a great set of cabs! The Owyhee Flower is absolutely gorgeous. I love that shape! The Prudent Man is amazing. ( ) Thanks, Robin! Those two seemed to have stolen the show. I really needed a video for the Astro- plenty of shiny needles. Wow that's a stellar set of cabs! That Owyhee Flower is super nice and framed perfectly, really nice unique shape too! That Prudent Man is excellent at well and what's not to love about a bit of rhodochrosite! Oh yeah!!! Someone else loves rhodo! Thanks for mentioning it. It's always one of my favs! All of them are stunning, but the flower jasper clearly takes the stage. Looks like a bursting volcano. Adrian Hi Adrian! I haven't cut the templates, yet, but I saw plenty that will be well used.
That shape on the Flower Jasper is one I haven't done, yet. 2 inside curves meeting at the top was a bit of a challenge on a small stone, but I love how it turned out.

Beautiful cabs rockjunquie. It’s tough to pick a favorite but I would have to go with the Prudent Man.

Flowers & Volcanoes are both examples of natures wonders. Only one you can get up close to and smell, and the other, maybe not.

Didnt read responses, so not sure if it’s been identified. Last one might be a type of Mexican sagenite. Great cabs btw
