Did a few the other day. Nothing special, well maybe the MHPJ. I did a nice big Nipomo Marcasite, but it didn't photograph well, at all.
Another little rhodo. This is much more vibrant than in the picture.
A little scrap of some red OJ. It crumbled as I worked it, but I still got a cab.
A big juicy MHPJ that broke my heart. This big preform was perfect. No cracks. For MHPJ that's pretty rare! I took it to 50k on leather and got it too hot. 2 very thin horizontal hairlines opened up. Not sure if I will recab it. The lines are at the very top left and very bottom. It's still solid, though. The others are healed.
This is Red Falcon jasper or whatever it's called. I get them mixed up.
Here is a group shot.
I've been using my cel phone camera, but the pictures haven't been coming out too good. Need to figure that out.
Thanks for looking!

Great recovery on the OJ! My heart goes out to you on the MHPJ! I think it looks great as is though... Apparently the Nipomo Marcasite didn't get the memo about being "Picture Day" as it didn't want a glamour shot...but it looks great in the "Class Photo"!

A beautiful set. Tela!
I also like the group shot — it's nice to compare and contrast them. It makes me wonder how you might wrap each one to complement their unique shapes and patterns. If you do wrap all or some of these, a before-and-after combined photo would be interesting.

That Morgan Hill makes me thing of an old wooden tribal mask, that that would have cracks. I like it - what about a tribal themed wrap to go with it (what does that mean I have no clue).
Look at African or South Pacific masks for ideas. But the Red Falcon Jasper is interesting. Interesting in the shape & the pattern. I'm guessing you figured out your wheel problems,
as it looks to me like your on a good roll.

Red oj is like hen's teeth. The marcasite looks so good in person, but is, apparently, shy. Thanks! The reason I want to stabilize is because of MHPJ. That's why I got the stuff. Need to get Cactus juice now. Been putting it off. A beautiful set. Tela! I also like the group shot — it's nice to compare and contrast them. You are always so encouraging. Yeah, maybe I'll remember to post the before pics. That Morgan Hill makes me thing of an old wooden tribal mask, that that would have cracks. I just love MHPJ almost as much as OJ, but man, can it be a b*tch to work.
Yup, Gene is all oiled up and tightened down. Yay!
