I like them all!! How did you heal fractures? They healed with time. Essentially the rocks refilled with silica or something and the cracks heal themselves. So it gives the appearance that the rock is cracked, but it’s actually bonded as one solid unit.

Love the depth of the Hamilton Plume agate. In your post you mentioned some repairs were made. I assume they were fractures. Fill us in on your repair method.

Thanks, Jim Are you asking in regards, to the healed fractures? I didn’t do anything specifically to treat the fractures. Rocks did that on their own. I won’t normally cab material that has non-healed fractures in it due to its ability to break during grinding. I was just calling out or specifying that the rocks with what appear to be fractures are self healed. I would say it’s similar to brecciated material. Just on a much finer scale. The batcave did form a fracture while cabing. But it held together to I decided to post it because it’s unique for batcave material to have plume in it.
